2 month puppy keeps sticking paws in her water

How do I stop her from doing this? Also, it's not hot in Oregon at all so I doubt she is sweating through her paw glands.

i think all of the puppies that have come through my house, and there have been a lot - i think at one time we had 15 pups running around, have always had some issue with water. Several of them take to it with a digging motion. I live somewhere warm so I guess that's a reason why they do it. However, it does go away on its own. If you are really bothered by it, just keep her away from her water bowl and only giver her some when you think she's thirsty.

My dogs used to do that too, the children thought it was funny and so did we; but we did live in a warm to HOT! climate. I recall that they stopped doing it on their own. The other thing I would say is to have the water bowl where it doesn't matter if she makes a mess!

The front paws of the dogs are the only sweat glands they have and they use them to cool off.
