Hi there! I had the same problem before with my dog "Pop". She has an affinity for shoes. She loves to chew shoes particularly, my son's shoes. At first it looks cute but it got annoying when we can no longer stop her from chewing. What we did was to take all the shoes away and gave her a flavored chewing bone. She enjoyed the bone but eventually, she got tired of chewing.

Thanks for all your feedback, but she has plenty of chew toys/bones to choose from but she seems to chew on them for a short while and then move onto things like my drain pipes outside, or my plants, or the fences!!!! I've learnt to remove things like shoes and anything important from the house. Make everything dog proof inside, but our problem is when she's outside when we're at work!
I've bought a muzzle today, so she can wear it and hopefully it'll stop her from chewing. But she's not very happy wearing it ( I do not know what else to do?! Any feedback is must appreciated. Thanks Lana |

Hi Lana. I have two things in my mind about your Boo. It's either she's bored when she's outside or she's suffering from separation anxiety when she's being left when you go to work.
Check it out if these will be probable reasons why Boo is acting that way. If you think she's bored, try adding more interesting toys for her. If you think she's being sad when you go out and makes her destructive, try walking out without her noticing you, if that's possible , to lessen the stress. |
