I have about a 6 year old Maxi Cockapoo which I resued. He has lived with me for 5 years. He is a wonderful, loyal dog when it is just him and me. In the beginning he was fine but I guess I spoiled him. Now people don't like to come over for a visit anymore. He will constantly whine and bark if he is not being petted or fully getting all the attention. What can I do?
Thanks for any advice. Jodie |

Hey,
Your dog knows that by whining he can get attention. Heres what I suggest you do: Fisrt, go through some steps to ensure you are the Alpha Dog. Once you have secured yourself as the alpha dog, never give you dog attention when it whines. Even if the two of you are home alone. Do the reverse. Turn away from your dog and ignore it for a few minutes. Only return to it once it has settled down and isnt whining. your dog needs to learn that whining will not result in attention... Good Luck, Craig
