Default Some info please on making GSD share his toys

Hello all, I've been interacting with my GF's 2 GSDs. They're mixed one male & one female. They've been with her since both were puppies. The problem is that whenever the dogs are given any toys, the male GSD takes the toys & wont share.

Is there a way to break this habit, I have a few theories based on all the information I've gathered about GSDs & dogs in general, but I would rather hear from some seasoned pros first. Thank You.

Hi there!

I would suggest that you buy your 2 GSD's toys that they can both share. Like chewy ropes or a large tire that they can both tug on. If the male GSD snaps aggressively, take the toy away from him and scold him. Repeat this everytime you catch him dominating the toys. Eventually he'll learn that if he doesn't share the toys, you'll take it from him.

Hope that helps!
