Default jack russell

We have recently gotten a new jack russell puppy.. She's generally very loving, but into her 4th month she is getting grumpy and growling and threating to bite me. I have noticed this when she's resting and I move her off me to get up to get something. I am always very gentle and I never tease her. I think I might have chosen the wrong breed of dog. I have grandchildren that will come to visit in the summer and I can't have this. Do you have any suggestions?
thank you

Hi, jack russels are very energetic type of breed and it increases as she ages. maybe she expresses her excitement through those biting threats. If you have a puppy school near you, better enroll her as soon as possible because it's essential that she learns obedience training as young as possible. You should also try to learn the reinforcement training so you would have no problem on who dominates who. I hope I've helped
