I have recently rescued a little Yorkie, Ulysse who the vet thinks is about 6yrs old. He was abandoned i am told. He is very cute and mainly very loving too. He is fairly well behaved and obeys many requests. I have found though that he does not like to play at all, i am ok with that but i think it is a shame for such a little dog with so much energy. My problem/question is that he becomes very very aggressive on meeting with other dogs on walks-attacking them or trying to and also the same with people we pass unless the people ignore him.
In the morning when i try to dress he attacks my clothes and bites my feet. He will jump up at my clothes and growl. When i start the walk, he bites the lead and again bites my shoes (right through) and we trip over trying to get out the gate. Please help sugest ways to stop this behaviour. I'll recommend you read on some of the very good articles at DOA main page http://www.dogobedienceadvice.com/. There are practical tips there describing steps on how you can train your dog about dog barking and aggression.
