Hello everyone. New here & new to dogs in general

Hello,

My name is Roy & thought I'd introduce myself. To be honest, I'll probably be asking some questions & be a frequent visitor. I'll introduce myself a bit:

I grew up for the most part disliking dogs, I mean REALLY disliking dogs to a point where it was a borderline fear/despise of them. I was bitten when I was like 3 or 4 & then again at 15. Attacked like 2 or 3 more times (without bites). So yeah, while I've had friends with dogs that were really friendly with me during these years, I'd just acknowledge their dogs but not make too much of an effort to play or get close to them.

This pretty much changed recently. I've been dating my gf for a year now & she has 2 german shepherds (they're mixed not purebred). One was always cool with me (the female) the male was always barking at me. So over the course of the last month, I decided to befriend the male dog & succeeded.

I guess it can be said that I'm now liking dogs.

That's all in a nutshell, hope to get to know many of you & looking forward to learning a little more from more experienced dog lovers out there.
