Default Welcome To The DogObedienceAdvice.com Dog Training Forum!

Hello and welcome everyone,

As you can see the brand spanking new DogObedienceAdvice.com forum has finally launched. I'm really excited about the addition of the forum to our community.

On a daily basis I receive a truckload of emails from visitors asking advice, telling me how impressed with the site they are, and just letting me know how things are going with their dog. As many of you have experienced, due to the shear volume of emails I receive and the time it takes to further develop the site, I sometimes don't manage to email everyone back, atleast in a timely manner.

We Love hearing from all of you, and that's what this forum is all about - A way we can further build the Dog Obedience Advice, share experiences and ideas to make owning and training your dog as stressfree and fun as possible.

Introduce Yourself

Join the forum today and introduce yourself and your dog/s to other forum members.

If you have any questions or are having issues with your dog, post them to the forum. I'll be online regularly, helping out where I can. Likewise, if you read someone else's post and have been through a similar situation take 5 minutes to help them out; If you share others will too!

I look forward to speaking with you all on the forum,

Colin

What a wonderful site you have built here, it's a pleasure to be one of the original contributors to such a forum. I have an idea that I know would be very usefu for myself.

Would it be practical to add in a section devoted to food recalls or something along those lines? I have been in the concerning position in the past where I haven't found out about a recall of the canned meat I was feeding my dog until after it was all gone, luckily my dog didn't get sick but it would have been good to have been alerted to the situation earlier.

Bless you Colin, SG

Welcome Donnie and Jess, welcome Star Gazer (I like the name, very nice!)

Donnie, I look forward to helping you out and hearing about your progress with Jess's training.

Star Gazer, that's a great idea, I'll add the category soon so people can post as they hear about food-recalls.

A New Addition To The Team

With all the change that's in the air at DogObedienceAdvice.com I'd like to take this time to introduce a new member of the team. Angie Walker will be joining us to help answer your questions, and offer her personality to the way the site develops.

Angie is also very passionate about dogs, and is enthusiastic about sharing and expanding her knowledge about dog training and ownership.

Welcome Angie!

Hi everyone,
I'd just like to introduce myself as a fellow colleague and new member of DogObedienceAdvice.com.
A few words about myself: I'm a real dog lover, have grown up around dogs my entire life - I've always had at least three dogs in the house! - and have spent a fair amount of time training my own dogs and those of my friends. I hope to put my experience to good use on the forums, and look forward to meeting you all.
I live with a pack of dogs of my own - there's four altogether: Zoe (American bulldog), Alice (Great Dane/German Shepherd cross), Malachy (Border Terrier pup, my most recent addition) and Biggs (Rottie). All of these guys came from an adoption shelter apart from Biggs, who I got from a breeder friend of mine.
Any questions at all you might have, just ask away - I'll be spending a fair amount of time perusing these forums so will be glad to be of assistance! No question is "too dumb" to ask, and don't worry - nobody here's going to judge you. Getting help is what these forums are all about.
I look forward to hearing all about your dogs and how they're doing!
- Angie

Just wanted to say Hi. I'm April and I recently got a new puppy named Riley. I had to put my 18-year-old dog down a couple of weeks ago and it was really hard so I needed a distraction around the house. Riley is a great and loveable distraction. However, I'll always miss my Buddy. He was more then a great dog and friend. He was family.

Thank you. I hope someone here can help me. We adopted a mixed breed puppy (looks like some kind of Schnauzer/spaniel mix). She is almost 1 year old. She is very affectionate and smart. The biggest problem we have is that she is chewing everything apart! She has ruined my expensive couch, numerous shoes and my daughter's underwear (), etc. She also is a pack rat. Grabs stuff she can carry and hides it behind couches and under tables. We have 2 other dogs she plays with all day so I don't think it is a boredom issue. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

Hi to forum members. I am new to the group. I live in California and I have one dog, a Golden Retriever, that we adopted from a rescue group. We have owned 2 Goldens prior to our rescue boy. I love the breed and look forward to reading other members posts and hopefully get some advise on my dogs dog aggression issues. Thanks for giving me the opportunity.
