you could stop leaving your dog locked up for so long. not trying to be rude or anything but dogs aren't like humans. we can hold it when we have to go to the bathroom but its natural for animals to relieve themselves when they need to. i can understand how your pup can be ok with being locked up for 4hours but anything more than that is really pushing it. its always good to get fencing, have a garage, or someone to keep an eye or them if you're going to be away for hours at a time. just leaving them in a crate for hours isn't helping with the training-its actually only creating a mess for you

Hi Izzy!

Puppies usually poop or pee 15-20 minutes after a meal, after waking up from a nap, and before sleeping at night. so someone has to be present at these times to take the puppy at the designated poop spot (outside perhaps) so she establishes that as the only place he's allowed to relieve herself.

hi,

yes i agree. is there anyone who can be at home to train your pup? it only took me a week to train my pup, unfortunately when we moved house, he seemed to have lost all the training and i have to start the training again. so it is important i think that not only do you need someone there to train your pup, but also to be consistent with the training. would also be helpful to read up on the topic through books or simply by googling the topic as well.

Hi Izzy,

Dogs are den animals so they do not usually go in the place where they sleep, but if they are left there for long periods of time, it can sometimes be difficult for them to hold it in. My advice is to take some time to house train your dog so that she can be let out of the crate during the day.
