Bath Dog Training Club is a not for profit voluntary organisation based in Bath. It is dedicated to promoting responsible dog ownership and follows guidance from The Kennel Club.
They strongly recommend that you come down one Tuesday night to see what and how we teach. This will give you an understanding of our training methods, as well as ideas to practice at home. For this session they ask that you don't bring your dog. Once you've met us, you can book onto the course most relevant to your needs and experience. Find out more about what they do. A trained dog is a happy dog. By spending time with your dog you will increase the bond between you. Take 10-15 minutes every day to train and you'll see that your dog will respond quicker to you - even when you're out for a walk and there's a really good smell just round the corner! Your dog will also see you as the leader, as you are in charge of when, how often and how long the training session lasts.

I remember how my pet Labrador really wants to take a bath daily. But I don't do that because after all, he doesn't smell bad at all and I don't want his skin to dry up from too much bathing. As I've read before, yes, once or twice a week is enough to give on your pet dog. But if he accidentally sat on his poo, a quick wash is all you need. If it's summer, maybe add some more bathing time a week to keep them refreshed.
Now if you have kids at home and your dogs are pretty dozing off anywhere around your house, you should take more precautions on your pet's cleanliness because ticks and fleas are dangerous too not only to dogs but humans too. Ask your vet for a recommended and practical shampoo for your dogs. Last edited by admin : 03-19-2009 at 06:36 AM. |

There is a really neat coin operated dog wash not far from us. It has all the hooks in the wall which allow you to have the animal tightly leashed while you wash. This obviously also allows you to have your hands free. They are great and not very expensive. And the thing that I really like is that I do not have to spend hours cleaning the bathroom up after the dog is done.
They even have driers, do your pet won't be wet getting back into the car. |
