Default dog run

I am an 80 Lab mutt. My humans just had a baby and are having a hard time making sure I get enough exercise and outside time. They are thinking about putting me on an aerial dog run. I'm glad they won't leave me out there all the time, but I want to make sure they help me to be as safe as possible. What is the safest way to attach me to the run? My humans have read that a harness is not safe. My humans would also appreciate any related advice.

Can't you just put a fence up?
I would never leave a dog unnatended on a run wire like that- I have seen what happens when they get caught up in the lead and panic!

Teach your dog to walk along with the buggy and get some exercise together- the fresh air will do the baby good too

Also a dog left to its own devices will not simply exercise its self, it will get bored and lie down.

Talk to your humans about getting help from a dog walker. That'd be fun. It may not even cost them that much either. I'm sure there's bound to be a dog walker in the neighborhood. If not, then this may be a good chance for a neighboring kid to start a business.

Anyway, as mentioned above, try walking the dog when you take the baby for a stroll. Preferably in the early mornings when the sun is out but its not scorching. It'll give you and the baby a chance to get some Vitamin D and the dog will get some exercise in too.
