Default jumping dogs

yes, I have a male and a female mixed breed dogs about a year old that have both been altered. Recently the male haas been jumping the fence to chase after other dogs, he does not go far but i am afraid that he will get into a fight with these other dogs before i can get him back in the yard. our fence is 5 ft tall and he just sails right over it. Can I put something on the fence to make noise so that he will get scared and not jump or do you have any other suggestions.

hi! i read somewhere that some dog breeds do tend to jump more than others. i can understand how worried you may be considering the danger your dog can get into if he jumps over your fence.

i did a little research and found this link. i hope this helps!
