Default Kenel clubs in Arizona. Any recommendations?

I've just been offered a new job in Arizona that I'm most likely going to accept. This means uprooting our whole lives and getting used to a new way of life in a new city.

We will be taking our 5 year old family pet with us. A few years back she was hit by a car and survived, but since then has had real trouble socializing with other dogs. She's good as long as she has constant contact with other dogs, but if she even goes 3 weeks with out socializing she becomes very timid the next time we take her out in public.

This hasn't been an issue up until now because we have friends with dogs, and have met other owners that she can spend time and have 'play-dates' with. We are concerned that when we make the move, we will be starting our lives again and won't know anybody in Arizona, which could be hard for her not being able to get to know and socialize with other dogs.

I've searched around a little on the net, but wanted to see if anyone had any advice on finding the right kennel club to send her along to, we haven't ever sent her to a kennel club before but think it would be good to help her adjust.

Here's hoping,

by the way, thanks for the new forum, it looks great!!

I would check with the animal shelter that services the area you are going too. In addition to animal control, most of them have relationships or at least knowledge of the type of organization your looking for. Some may even sponsor or hold dog day events.
