Can anyone help? My 5 year old cocker spaniel has become very aggressive at night. If he is in his bed and someone goes into the room, he will growl. He also stares menacingly with wide, crazy looking eyes. We have dealt with it up to now by ignoring him, leavng him to go to sleep, but it is getting worse and last night he bit my husband. He has obviously decided that the room is "his" and I realise that he is showing severe dominance symptoms but I am at a loss as to how to deal with it. During the day he is delightful - loving, lively and sweet tempered, friendly with us and with other dogs and people. It's as though he changes into some sort of a zombie at night. I should add that he is a rescue dog and has lived with us for two and a half years. What can I do to cure him of this nasty habit?

That is unusual...Your dog misbehave only at night...Like a vampires I guess...
![]() Anyway, probably it has a connection to his previous life...Like you said he is a rescue dog maybe he got a trauma... ![]()
