Dog feels your weakness

My dog bite me first time when I was 7-8 years old. And he was doing this several times.All my legs,arms, back have the memory about his teeth.And you know what? Nobody in our Family was bitten by him.I was thinking twice every time when I need to pass through the yard where he was sitting in his kennel.
It took me more than fifteen years to overcome my fear and we became friends with a new puppy taken to our family instead of old one which passed away.
