Weimeraner wants to eat cat or play with?

We have a 2 yo weimeraner who is terrifically playful. But she's increasingly
after our cat who is declawed, hisses and bats at her. Dog thinks she's playing (?). Someone told us playing tug of war increases Weimeraner aggression, is that true? Any ideas on the dog-cat thing? I'm afraid if she
hurts the cat, having drawn blood, she'll be increasingly dangerous. We have small grandchildren. Any thoughts?

Hi Franni! With your Weimeraner, I think you have to define a clear line between play and aggression. Games such as tug-of-war is not advisable because the dog can hurt others and may think that biting is acceptable. You have to reprimand your dog immediately when he tries to show aggression towards people and animals especially your cat.
