I recently purchased my first Doberman. He is 10 weeks old, and what he thinks is play biting is leaving gashes on my, and my boys arms, hands, and feet. I have tried everything I have been told to do to stop it short of physical punishment. If anyone can offer some advice, please do.
Thx, JD |

We had the same problem when our Doberman was a puppy. Our breeder suggested yelping loudly each time he bit us too hard. She said that their litter mates teach them what's too hard by yelping like this. We felt very silly doing this at first, and he'll probably look at you strangely and do it again the first few times, but if you keep at it for a few days, it works like a charm! Good luck. Hope you enjoy your dobie as much as we do!

Hi JD, I'll recommend a good read on the main site of DOA for Doberman Training. You'll see it here at Doberman Training. It will surely be helpful!
