i have a 3/12 year old jack russell. i can handle that she dosent like other dogs and that she likes to sneak out the door to chase the cats. but since my son started walking my dog dosent let the kid near me anymore. as soon as he sees the boy she grawls at him and i can see that she is willing to attack if i dont take her away. i really dont know what do to. i talked to the shelter and they said she dosent have good chances to get adoptet and they cant take her cause she cant be with other dogs. besides that she is a really good dog. she is trained and a real sweetheart. i dont understand while she all the sudden shows a manor i never saw on her. i hope i can find some tips and advise here. thanks cindy

Hm... That's weird. Might be he's started seeing your son as his possession or a part of the pack perhaps, where he's the alpha dog and is responsible for the pack's protection which is why he gets defensive every time you come near your son. That's just an opinion based on what you said, though. More details?
