Default 6mo boxer displays dominance

My 6 mo. old boxer has recently started to bark AT me nonstop and if I try to walk away after telling him no, he bites at my pants, legs, knees- pretty much whatever he can get. It's not just every so often either. When i eat he bites and barks, when I sit, when on the phone.
I have done a fairly good job training... sit, stay, rollover, play dead, shake. He is walking pretty well on a leash. He has an appointment to be fixed next week, but I think it is more then that- possibly displaying alpha tendencies. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Sounds like your dog is running the show. He is doing this for attention and to try and control/ dominate you and it is working.

First of all I would take him to a trainer. A trainer can work with you one on one with your problem and show you the propper techniques of how to handle it. Also, obedience classes. This is to get him to learn that you are leader/boss not him and he has to listen to you and respect you. It doesn't metter if he already knows the commands an obedience class is to make your dog obedient and build leadership for you.

Next, When he does this put him in a 'sin-bin', naughty place right away with giving as little attention as possible. Do not look at him or say a word just take him there and leave. When he is quiet and calm let him out. If he does again go staright to the naughty place and stay for longer time.
