Default Staffy/Boxer Mix - Help!

I have been having such a hard time training my staffy/boxer mix. She barks at every dog and person walking down the street, she jumps our fence (not as often anymore) to meet and greet huskies walking past our driveway. She jumps on every single person that comes over to the house...She bullies my other dog (8 year old Rhodesian) and wont let him play with anything, or have any treats! She is 50 lbs and difficult to even walk down the street on a leash because she wants to be at the head of the pack. I invested in a leader collar which seems to work, but she is constantly trying to pull it off! I took her to obedience training once and it was useless!!! Any thoughts on this kind of breed or any helpful hints? I'm at my wits end with this dog!

Default Re: Staffy/Boxer Mix - Help!

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with your dog. I really don't have much advice, but my sister owns a black lab/boxer mix and she "talks back" to my sister all the time. If my sister tells her to get off the couch she will whine and growl and it really does sound like she is talking back. If she doesn't want to move she will just plant herself and there is almost no force on earth that will move her. My sister said she has heard that same kind of thing from other people with boxers or boxer mixes. She is a sweet dog, just very opinionated and does only what she wants to do. I hope you find the help you need.
