Default Weimarners

I have a house of three dogs at the moment and really want to get a Weimarner. I saw one in the park the other day and it was just so beautiful and friendly. My friend also has one that I've met a couple of times and I really want to get one.
The thing is, I have two spaniels and a poodle - all between six and eight years old - and I'm not really sure if a Weim would be OK in a house with other dogs, because someone told me that they can be aggressive with other dogs (I think they used to be hunting dogs??).
Anyway if anyone knows anything about Weims and how they do in households with other dogs, that would be great. even if you don't know anything about specifically that, any information or advice at all would be really appreciated.

Red face Re: Weimarners

Hello.

I have a weimaraner. If you get it as a puppy and its socialized properly it shouldnt be a problem; however if its an older dog youll have to find out if it gets along with other animals. The weimaraner temperament tends to be very domineering.. you must be a person that can say no and mean it. My little boy is an absolute joy and wonderful with all other dogs.. but its because I work with him everyday and also.. they are very very high strung and energetic dogs.. This doesnt bother me cause Im the same.. but they need ALOT of exercise... There is a saying amongst those who know the breed.. a tired weimaraner is always good an exhausted weimaraner is great. Its a beautiful dog but one that needs alot of attention and time.
