Great idea, I've added a section under the admin section called 'the lighter side of life.' This area is to share funny dog stories as well as chatting about non-dog related topics.
I'll have a think about where 'dog's in the news' should fit in. As for dog food recalls, these can go in the 'Dog Food And Diet' section. Keep the great suggestions coming!
