Constant Marking of Territory Outside
Hi !
I have a granddog that's a cockerpoo. He's is a sweet, loving, quiet lap-dog that loves to take walks.
The problem that we have is when we walk him (2-4 times per day), he does his business but constantly tries to mark his territory afterwards.
Instead of enjoying a nice stroll for 30-40 minutes, he wants to raise his leg every few feet or so every chance he gets, trying to mark his spot.
And when he has nothing to give, he then 'butts-up' next to trees straining himself trying to mark. It's also a problem when we go to the dog park.
He can't enjoy himself with other dogs because he's constantly trying to cover their scents with his own.
I don't have him often, but need to know how to help him?
Thanks in advance for any help.
